Following the visual inspection, fabrics undergo laboratory testing where key performance characteristics are evaluated. These tests include verification of fabric elasticity, weight per square meter, and dimensional stability. Additional tests measure colour fastness, ensuring that fabrics maintain their integrity when exposed to water, perspiration, and skin contact.
Where applicable, performance testing also evaluates sun protection capability (UPF), resistance to abrasion, pilling durability, and resistance to chlorine exposure, ensuring suitability for technical and performance applications.
